Insulating your attic, it’s important!<\/h1>\n

It is well known that heat rises, and therefore an attic or poorly insulated attic means heat loss. Did you know that you could lose up to 15% of your home’s heat from your roof? By insulating the attic of your home with an effective product, you can avoid many problems.<\/p>\n

The application of blown wool is an eco-friendly and economic solution. Cellulose is a completely natural bulk insulation made from recycled wood or paper, with added minerals. It provides a uniform layer and infiltrates all gaps, making it incredibly effective, something we do not obtain with a pink fiberglass insulation. It is even possible to add blown wool on insulation blankets to increase the insulating R factor.<\/p>\n

Application of insulation in the attic<\/h2>\n

Blown wool is eco-friendly and economical. There are several advantages to using cellulose in the attic. The product Sopra-Cellulose (formerly Beno-therm) does not contain asbestos, fiberglass or formaldehyde. The product does not irritate the skin and offers resistance to corrosion, humidity and mildew. Its flame retardant properties help prevent the intrusion of insects, vermin and small rodents.<\/p>\n

The installation of blowing wool is ecological, safe, simple and fast and it is an ideal solution for attics. For the attic of an average single-family home, it takes around 2 hours to complete the installation. Usually, there is an access from the inside or the outside of the attic to allow application without causing damage or leaving dirt behind.<\/p>\n

It is recommended to install 12 inches of blown wool, cellulose to obtain an R41 insulation factor. This way you will reduce energy costs and will solve many signs indicating a lack of insulation. A heating economy is quickly realized and recognized.<\/p>\n
